Right now, there is no school on Thursday, April 26th and no one is sure when school will reopen. If and when an agreement is reached, the District and our school will send out information. You should have received an email from Ms. Cameron with the subject line "Important Work Stoppage Information." If you did NOT receive this email, it means that Sandpiper does not have your correct contact information. You should call the Main Office ASAP to update your information so you can receive updates on school closures and reopenings. The phone number is 602-449-6300.
Childcare Options During the Walk-Out
Huge thank you to our friends over at the Sonoran Sky Elementary School PTO for putting together an awesome document with various childcare and camp options during the Walk-Out. They will continue to update this document as new information is available. This list is for informational purposes only. We do not endorse or sponsor any particular organization. Please confirm all details with each organization. Click here for the list.
We are continuing to post updates as we receive them to our PTO Facebook page and in our Email Blasts. Please follow us in either of those places for our most up to date information.
We all love our school garden and the kids can't wait to get back in there growing and eating their vegetables. The garden and your kids need you to make it happen!
Recess Garden Volunteers - Ongoing
Your Garden Team needs your help in bringing the opportunity to work in the garden during recess to all 630 students this year. The more parents we have the more often our kids can grow and eat their veggies. We are starting with Mondays. If we get enough volunteers for that day, we can add Thursdays. We need the most help from 10:45am-11:45am, but welcome help between 10:45am and 1:00pm. Click here to sign up to volunteer.
Kona Ice will be for sale in Sandpiper Park after school on Friday, May 11th.

Save Time and $$! Preorder Your School Supplies for Next School Year
We will once again be offering parents the opportunity to purchase their school supplies for next year in advance in a kit! Kits include the exact colors, quantities, and brands their teachers are requesting in a personalized box ready for your child’s first day of school. The kits will be waiting for your child in their classroom on the first day of school. No more lugging bags of school supplies into school on the first day, or driving around to various stores to find the exact items they need. Parents receive a discount on their supplies by purchasing the kit, and the Sandpiper PTO receives a % back from every kit sold! It's a win-win!
All orders will be done online. The deadline to order is June 15th!
To order, click here and enter our school code: SAN355.
Supplies will be delivered before school starts in August.
